Chrome Overtakes Safari

Every apple computer comes bundled with Safari and with Apple’s 10% of the market share it is a surprise that Google’s Chrome, which is not bundled with any computer, has beaten it.

What’s great about Chrome’s meteoric rise (well, maybe that’s overstating it) is that it truly is based on product quality and not marketing.  It’s true that Google has one of the biggest soap boxes in the world for hawking its stuff but google has proven again and again that just knowing about something doesn’t make it a hit.

Chrome stands heads and shoulders above Internet Explorer (of course) and Firefox (more surprising) and that’s what makes this news all the more satisfying.
