I don't think people realize just how bad this court decision to allow corporate donations to candidates is.  This is the kind of event people talk about years later as the turning point.  Corporations are already too integrated into the political process but now the gates have been opened and we can all expect stampede of seemingly non-sensical laws passed purely for the benefit of vertical markets.  For those interested, this is what I'm talking about.
